A heartwarming footage has emerged of a gigantic Rottweiler pooch gently playing with fifteen-months-old baby. Esther, the Rottweiler, loves to play with baby Silas. She is very gentle with him and he can take anything out of her mouth or climb all over her body!
Rottweilers may be large and powerful, but these huge dogs are gentle giants protecting little babies. Studies have shown that kids raised with dogs have healthier immune systems as they grow up and are less prone to respiratory infections. In addition, raising a baby with a dog gives both dog and baby a special bond of unconditional love as they grow up and become friends for life!
Footage shows this giant Rottweiler pooch comfortably relaxing next to the 15-months-old baby. Watch as they gently toss around a toy. These two seem like they are having the time of their lives! Who would have thought that huge dogs are actually gentle giants when it comes to playing with a baby!
Your dog may nudge the baby to get it to roll over or pull down the covers if the baby is overheated. It may lick the baby’s face, pacifier, and other toys, either to get food off of it or to check the child’s temperature.
Most dogs will regularly sniff at a baby’s mouth and rear end and lick the baby’s face just to check baby’s health. These are things a mother dog does with her own pups, and they should be considered harmless because almost no diseases can pass from a dog to a human, and those that do are ones that only occur if the dog is improperly cared for.
