Hitting the road with your Rottweiler can be a load of fun if you know how to. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind before you hit the road with your Rottweiler. Let’s see what they are-
Safety
You need to ensure that your Rottweiler isn’t roaming around in the car while it is being driven. It could be illegal in the place you are passing by, so why take that risk?

Crating
Crating would be useful if your Rottweiler is quite restless. First, select a crate that is big enough, then remove anything that might hurt them. Before taking them on a long journey, drive them around the block to see if they are comfortable with the journey or not. Also, make a note of them being afraid of the car, or getting car sickness.
Seat Belts
Seat belts are important when you hit the road with your Rottweiler. But remember to get the belt attached on the backseat so that your dog remains unharmed in case of an accident. Don’t completely open the windows, for they might get hit by debris, or jump out of the car! Ensure that they are tightly secured.

Car Barrier
If you have a car barrier, perfect. All you need to do is set the barrier so that your dog doesn’t jump about in the seats. Also, it would really help if you have an SUV. As with every other precaution, drive your dog around once so that they get a feel.
