Rottweilers are extremely loyal to their masters. You can easily train your Rottweiler to talk. Not only would it be fun for both you and your Rottweiler, but it would also be a test of your training skills.
Now, you can’t simply ask them to speak and not teach them how to be quiet. Teaching your Rottweiler how to be quiet is going to be tricky. For, they wouldn’t understand normal words, and you can’t try demonstrating it before them. You need to be patient and encouraging throughout. Boops and treats all the way! Keep encouraging your Rottie baby and they’re sure to learn super-fast.

Train Your Rottweiler To Talk
This is the easiest way to make your Rottweiler talk. All you need to do is put them before a door, and when someone intrudes, ask your Rottie to ‘speak’. They will happily oblige and you need to give them treats. If you don’t have a doorbell, simply make them sit with you after filling them up with excitement. Then ask them to speak, by commanding with their name. Even if they give a small squeak, encourage and give treats. Over time, it would be a full-blown bark at your command.
Train Them To Be Quiet
A harder command to get by is how to make them stay quiet when they are barking their head off. If you have already found ways to make your Rottweiler talk, you might as well teach them how to be quiet. For this, first ask them to ‘speak’. When they bark, give them a treat. Now, in a much softer voice, ask them to be ‘quiet’. It is natural that they won’t understand what you are saying. So, go back to the initial command and ask them to ‘speak’.
After they have barked, give them a treat, and then ask them to be quiet. If they don’t make a noise, give them three treats. Repeat this process, until they get absolutely silent for successive trials. They will realize that being silent means higher rewards. And soon they will learn to relate your lower-pitched ‘quiet’ as the command for no more barking.

Rottweilers are intelligent doggos and always eager to please their master. If you express your satisfaction when they obey the commands, they will understand those commands better. Keep those treats handy.
